Back then she told herself she wanted to meet whatever might be out in the sky—a wish she says preceded the strange event.

What she says occurred

Weeks later, while dancing in West Covina, Hawn says she grew inexplicably drowsy, asked to lie down in a friend’s car and then lost awareness. She remembers a very high-pitched sound, sudden paralysis, and seeing two short figures outside the window with triangular, silvery heads. They seemed to communicate with a droning sound and to be directing attention toward her.
