The charity began in 1976 as The Prince's Trust and has since supported more than a million young people across the UK. According to the organization, roughly three in four of those it helped over the last five years have moved into work, education or training.
The King's Trust was also highlighted during the royals' recent US engagements, including an arts reception at Christie's on April 29 hosted by Greater Together and the Trust. The King reflected on founding the organisation and his wish for it to continue, and a garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 14 will follow the anniversary celebrations.
