During the recent state visit of King Charles and Queen Camilla to the United States, a surprising connection between Donald Trump and the royal family has sparked lively discussions. Trump humorously mentioned his desire to live in Buckingham Palace, hinting he might even broach the subject with the royal couple.

Uncovering Royal Ancestry

The intriguing family ties were revealed by British tabloids, which traced a connection linking Trump and King Charles as approximately 15th cousins. This connection reportedly stems from a shared ancestor, John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Lennox, and his daughter, Lady Helen Stewart. The connection eventually leads to the MacLeod lineage, the maiden name of Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, who emigrated from Scotland's Isle of Lewis.
