Security remains central

Harry has repeatedly said he does not feel safe bringing his family to the U.K. after they lost state-funded security when they stepped back from royal duties. In a High Court statement he argued protection is needed "for his two children to feel at home" and warned he cannot risk his wife or children’s safety.

History and family tensions

The Sussexes last travelled with their children in June 2022 for the Platinum Jubilee; Meghan has not returned since September 2022. Harry has made solo trips and met King Charles in September 2025 for a private 55-minute conversation, while saying he would welcome reconciliation with his family.
