The move that changed everything

PEOPLE reports the family relocated to Forest Lodge—formerly called Holly Grove—in Windsor Great Park in October 2025. The eight-bedroom home became their base with Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (11) and Prince Louis (8). The household is on a long lease and the family privately funded small renovations after leaving Adelaide Cottage, their previous four-bedroom home.

Closer to family and school

The shift keeps them near Windsor Castle and close to Kate's relatives. Kensington Palace confirmed on June 16 that Prince George will begin at Eton in the fall, and Forest Lodge is about a 15-minute drive from the school, making the move feel practical as well as personal.
