A private box hosted by Silent Pool Gin, just above the Royal Box, served a three-course lunch with champagne and cocktails. Ascot notes that about 65,000 bottles of champagne are enjoyed over five days, while Silent Pool says roughly 7,500 bottles of its gin sell annually. Their bestselling Royal Ascot Blush mixes strawberry syrup, lemonade and a bergamot garnish. The brand’s royal links include a 2019 distillery opening by Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Guests followed a strict dress code and admired standout hats; Kate chose a Jane Taylor hat to match a bold yellow Roksanda dress. Afternoon tea featured Highgrove preserves and Fortnum & Mason tea. On the track, King Charles and Queen Camilla presented a trophy, while their horse Point of Law, ridden by James Doyle, finished fourth. Each day closed with the “Singing Around the Bandstand” tradition.
